First established in 1970, Earth Day is a movement that sparks passion and motivates action for environmental preservation. Today marks its 50th celebration, and the Earth Day committee has organized many bold initiatives since its founding — one being “Trees for the Earth,” the goal to plant 7.8 billion trees by 2020.
This year the focus is on #climateaction
No matter where you are, or who you are, you can make a difference.
In honor of Earth Day, we wanted to help spread awareness of the importance of building a healthy, sustainable environment. And, a great way to contribute to this cause is by supporting eco-conscious companies like ours.
At ZIVELI we try to be as green as possible. We are commitment to conserving the Earth, and preserving our crafts.
We focus on the sustainable use of materials in society. We use sustainable packaging like cardboard rolls and reused cardboard boxes for our packaging and shipping. We design products that encourage a sustainable flow of materials. And use only renewable natural fibres to handcraft our products.
We are a forward-thinking brand who focuses on women empowerment and believe in empowering our consumers to make the right choices.
We are consistent, transparent, and informative about how and where our bags and baskets are made, and the materials we use.
We envision a world where human activity is in balance with Earth’s carrying capacity. For more information on our sustainability practices, log on to https://ziveli.in/about-us-ziveli/
Last but certainly not least, we use innovative materials like malai, which is a vegan leather alternative made from the waste of the coconut industry. And we use only natural dyes to dye our palm leaves.
We’re a green company, our products require fewer resources to produce and are easily compostable or recyclable — proving to be gentler on the environment.
We also focus on sustainable design, and our products last a lifetime with adequate care.
To close, we’ll leave you with this gem of a quote from Eco-Products’ Brandfolder:
“Kids today should grow up thinking the stupidest thing in the whole world is to throw something away.” – Peter Senge, MIT Business Professor, Author of “The Fifth Discipline”
We hope our eco-friendly brand inspires you to find ways to conserve in your everyday life. Whether it’s properly recycling, reducing your utility usage, or purchasing sustainable products, every effort counts towards preserving our home: planet Earth.
